Windows 10 / Ubuntu dual boot - “hard drive not installed” error on Dell Inspiron 5000

I installed Ubuntu 18.04 as dual boot to Windows 10 on my Dell Inspiron 13 5000. The instructions I had followed did not say to disable the drive encryption on Windows nor Windows Secure Boot, so I did neither. The first problem I had was that Windows would ask for a Recovery Key every time I booted it and I solved it by disabling the drive encryption. Now I had Windows stop working while using it normally and when force-restarting the laptop I got an "hard drive not installed" error.
When looking it up I saw people suggest to actually look at the hardware in case some connection was physically lost but I'm wondering if this is a software problem instead that's connected to the dual boot: is this at all possible?
When I get the error, if I tap F12 I can get to a menu with the option to reboot after disabling Secure Boot. I'm thinking of trying that, just wanted to ask if it's safe for me to do? Or if I should check if I can boot Windows from USB and reinstall everything?
And in case disabling Secure Boot, would you recommend uninstalling Ubuntu and reinstalling the dual boot, this time following the correct procedure?

And if SSD firmware for SSD? Turned off RAID, added AHCI drivers to Windows and changed RAID to AHCI?
