How to download a website which includes an applet?

I was trying to download the following website which includes an applet in different versions (WebGL, Javascript and Java):
http://www.falstad.com/ripple/

I used the the command

wget --mirror --convert-links --adjust-extension --page-requisites falstad.com/ripple

Instead of a working applet, I get a blank box on the site.

How can I download it properly? I used wget but I'm open to different solutions.

(The site states that usage and even modification is ok as long as the author and the site are mentioned, so licensing shouldn't be a problem)
