Is kernel 4.15.0.39-generic is resetting the BIOS

So I've had this on 3 machines now
2 were the same manufacturer and one not the same.
Since upgrading to kernel 4.15.0.39-generic I've been getting Real Time Clock errors where the BIOS is reset back to default settings. On most machines this means the computer will not boot as the Default BIOS setting uses legacy boot instead of UEFI boot.
Two of the machines "Gigabyte Brix" are less than 6 months old which should rule out the CMOS battery.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue so I know if I should report a bug or not?
