Direct Ethernet Routing
I have an Ubuntu 18 music file server and I'd like to route files to a renderer, another Linux machine, as directly as possible. I've connected the renderer to the server, and have bridged the connections on the server, but I suspect this may not be doing what I want, as large files sometimes load slowly.
I found an article on bridged connections in Windows 10 which states this only provides a pass through to the router, whereas shared connections convert the host into a router. The latter may be what I'm looking for but I can't get the renderer to use the shared connection on the server.
Does anyone have any knowledge about how to achieve a direct connection?
