Reinstall just one default application

I am a newbie in the Linux world and at first, I wanna apologize for the questions that might seem dumb.

I have just downloaded Ubuntu 18.10 and while I was trying to get familiarized with gnome preinstalled app, I removed the Startup Application Preferences panel.

Is there a way to reinstall it?

Thanks in advance.

  • Generally, to install or reinstall an application, you can use sudo apt-get install application-name. There is no magic here. I am not sure what "Startup Application Preferences panel partly in bold" is, but hopefully you do.

  • Why do you think you have removed it? Unless you specifically uninstalled it should still be there.

  • When you say "I removed the [panel]," please describe exactly what you did, with enough detail so that folks who didn't see it will understand clearly. "Remove" could mean a lot of different actions.
