Suppose all car owners will refuel when the gasoline in the car tank
they are just 50% right. At a gas station, the average arrival of cars is
8 cars per hour. The time needed to refuel an average car is
3 minutes. By assuming the time between arrivals and the time of service is distributed
exponential:
a. Determine the average number of cars / customers and the waiting time of the car / customer at
the gas station.
b. If at any time there is a scarcity of gasoline so that all car owners will fill up
gasoline when the gasoline in the tank of their car is exactly 75%. With condition
this time to refuel at the gas station is reduced to 2 minutes. How
the effect of the scarcity of gasoline on the question in a?
