Ubuntu 18.10 Boots to black screen, after a few reboots goes into login

So this morning, when I went to boot my desktop I was met with a black screen running through what I assume to be the boot process. It would freeze at various points, however I noticed every time I rebooted the system, it would advance more and more through the process. After about 3 reboots, it finally brought me to the Ubuntu login screen, and I could log in no problem after that.
One Issue I've seen is proprietary Nvidia drivers can apparently cause this? I'm running the Nvidia Metapackage 390 drivers that come with ubuntu ready to install.
