how to view video from flash drive?
I am running a live image of Ubuntu version 16.-4.3 off of a flash drive and have connected another flash drive with videos on it but are not opening in Ubuntu. I am getting error message:
Required plugin could not be found. Videos requires to install plugins to play files of the following types:
AC-3 Decoder
H.264 decoder
anything I can do here please?

I think you need to install restricted extras. See How do I install the ubuntu-restricted-extras package? But note that if it's a non-persistent live image, it will get wiped on reboot.

You can create a persistent live drive (and use all available drive space) with mkusb. Install withsudo apt update && sudo apt install ubuntu-restricted-extras
; You can also store some video files on the same drive, if there is space enough for it. The restricted-extra package and the video files will persist (survive reboot) in a persistent live drive.

The first program I install on a new Persistent, (ie mkusb), flash drive is VLC Media Player, The first time I try to open a video file it offers to install the required codecs.
