RAID 10 array not detected but individual disk are seen

0

I have a machine that I want to install Kubunut (same as Ubuntu) onto. I recently upgraded my storage to a M.2 SSD and a RAID 10 array with 4 2TB hdds.

I went into my bios (Asus ROG Maximus VIII gene) and made a RAID 10 with the 4 2TB drives and booted to my Kubunu Live CD. when I started the live installer, the OS only saw the 4 hard drives instead of the raid array. And when I installed the Gnome Disk Utility, the program allso sees the 4 drives but sees them as "2.0TB Intel RSTe RAID member 1.3.00"

So is there a driver I'm missing or is my raid array not complete
(the Ubuntu version is Kubuntu 18.04.1)
