where does the data for null hypothesis come from?
$begingroup$
I have a question on test statistic. We use test statistics to ascertain the hypotheses against the rejection region. My question is from where does the data for null hypothesis come? Was there another test statistic done to get that?
Thanks

You carry out experiments to get the data. The test statistic is always based on samples taken from a population or experiments conducted.
