When I try connecting to the internet using cable internet it does not work, I get the following message "Activation of network connection failed". It tries to connect but it fails every time.
I am using Ubuntu 18.04 on a computer that will be used for calculations only, it does not have a wifi connection. I do not have the ability to download tools from the internet to solve the problem.
My question is how can I solve this problem, without making use of the wifi connection.
